Post subject:  US 131 Dragstrip Event in Michigan
I went to the races today and enjoyed seeing snowmobile and motorcycle 1/4 mile racing.

Kinda chilly 57 and cloudy with about 40 spectators but the racing was great.

Lots of Kawasaki's & Suzuki's. Really strange to see a snowmobile run a 7.97

A few years back a guy at my local track ran low 9's on a sled and it looked dangerous.
Touching the 7's has got to be an adventure.

BTW - The my local track 75-80 Dragway is the oldest track in MD; think they opened in 1960.
You still have to drive by some cornfields to get there but today is the last day; the owner is an older gentleman with some health issues and sold to developers who have finally got approval to build the new infrastructure (roads, sewer, power, etc.) to start a housing development. That track is 30 minutes away; at least we still have Capitol Raceway (45 minutes from me) or Maryland International Raceway about 1 hour away.
