Post subject:  My annual adventure to the antique MC display

This year it was the Daytona's turn to be ridden 140 miles one way to the Hot Springs, Ar Motorcycle Rally and be displayed. I'm the only one brave enough to ride to the show from out of town on the bike they display. I rode down on Friday. The temperture was 99f when I arrived with a heat index of 105. The ride takes me thru the Ouachita Mountains in west Ar. The Daytona handled the heat well and ran crisp the whole way. It took me two waters, a diet coke, a Gatoraide, and 4 gallons of premix to make the trip. I spent the night and displayed the bike on Saturday. The front came thru Friday evening and the temp on Saturday was 80. A lot of people came by to look at the bikes. The ride home Saturday evening was great.

My ride starts in north central Ar and I cross the Arkansas River near Conway, Ar at a place called Toad Suck! This keeps me off Interstate 40.

A guy I met last year brought a fine RZ500 and a freshly restored 250 this year. We displayed them together. Sorry but there were no Kawasaki triples on display :?:

It is a cafe Suzuki 250 twin Buddy. It has the Peckerhead Racing decal. My dad's favorite nick name for me was Peckerhead! :D

Maybe I should change my board name to Peckerhead. What do you think :?:

Because Dr Shane I was born with red hair like the pecker on a poodle :lol:and besides what else would you call a guy that stops in the middle of his ride to take a picture of a Toad Suck sign :?: I just knew Aylor would connect that with the girlie bike theme. :P maybe something like Peckerheaded toad sucking girlie biker...but I beat him to it :D :D :D
