Back from the Gap and I think a great time was had by all. We had great weather all week with a few spotty showers towards the end with perfect temperatures for riding. Had an awesome ceremony for Dale and many thanks for the excellent resource site we have. I would like to thank Ric and Barry and all who donated parts for the DT 250, my boys had a blast working on it and I hope you all enjoyed the show ! We will start a thread and post the progress on it. I sure missed a lot or the regulars though and hope you all can make it next year, Joe, Cody, Shane, Evans (really left a big hole in the band) and I apologize, if I left anyone out. My boys had an awesome time for their first trip to the Gap and I know they will be back ! I was worried about their limited amount of street riding experience, but their riding was superb. I can only hope they will help to keep this thing going long after many of us are gone and help to keep the 2-strokes alive. Thanks again to those that make this event happen and who participate. I can hardly wait untill next year !!

There were a few minor crashes here and there. Jason had a couple, while Mark (m in sc) and I each had one. Mine was while on the DT100, and happened when I dragged the right peg hard. I'm a little sore on a couple ribs under my right arm, but nothing bad. Nearly no damage to the bike. I'm going to shorten the pegs considerably. :P Unfortunately my crash wasn't at a turn with a photographer.

Home at 0250 ET. In bed at 0400 slept till 1030. All is well. Just unloaded bikes and heading to the shop to finish unpacking the Assault Wagon and spend a couple hours putting stuff away.
My humble and kind thanks to all who helped me and Sam Hognuts Rogers through the breakdowns and necessary repairs throughout the week.
MP Iron Brady, Mark Blingmaster Haase, John Evans, Chuck Super Tune Quenzler, for toiling in the heat and way into the night fixing Hognut's RD, Tom Judkins (for saving my ass not once but twice when I broke down in the road including disassembling his own bike to find a 30 amp fuse), Scully, James from Chattanooga at the Korean Convenience Store in Tellico Plains (during the clutch cover gasket debacle) , Jim-K, RD Charlie, and anyone else I left out (Still a bit tired from the trip and not quite hittin' on all 3 yet).

It was wonderful week filled with great riding and fellowship.

Special thanks as always to Ric Van Hoosier (ROLL TIDE) for consistently going above and beyond and Jeff Gootblatt for all their time expended and selfless commitment to making sure we have accommodations and making our Board great.

Thanks again Iron for the brotherhood over the years, the outstanding speech, red beans and rice, and sage advice as always.

Last but certainly not least, Thank you Mr Axl for all you do all the time.

For any who read this, thanks to all the Dragon Staff at the resort for putting up with us and taking such good care of us year after year... we couldn't do it without you.

Pretty much everybody I know has crashed to some degree at one or more of the two-stroke meets. Its a right of passage really!
