I know the transfer ports will be a challenge but I've got a plan and i'm a fairly good alloy welder if you use reeds they give more options for ports as most of you know directional flow is critical after that a good set of chambers helps witch i'm fairly handy at. As far as revving goes i took the old motor to ten and over easy enough but i spent a lot of time on each piston . I'm talking days .kwacka karl.... :ugeek:

Good luck with this.
It sounds very interesting, and that you have both the design and fabrication skills to make this work.
If you get a minute, a dedicated thread with pictures would be greatly appreciated although it can be pain and time suck to document the details.

From cylinder top to upper edge of inlet port it's just 66mm - so are you going to insert a longer sleeve?

Overall the given cylinder design in terms of port location doesn't encourage these kind of plans.

70mm stroke is a common thing for 250 MX bikes - but I can't see any value in rev'ing up to 12K - but you'll know.
