I allow myself to re-post my post from the Suzuki forum. At least there is a Kawasaki connection in the last picture ;)

Here's a few photos of a bike a friend built last winter. It's a 1973 GT550, ever so slightly customised to a modern caferacer/streetfighter, hence GTR. There is a lot of attention to details in this bike, and quite a few challenges and complexities were met during the building process but there are no compromises. There are parts from all Japanese brands and one Italian, and some aftermarket custom and selfmade parts. Too many details to list, I let the pics speak for themselves.

It is really a beautiful bike. The paint is so deep you could drown in it.

Wonderful job. Is that also your H1A parked next to the GT?

I never thought I would see a 1150 tank that actually looked good, and he did it!

The GS-EF tank was chosen specifically for this project. Its mounted slightly forward tilted and follow the angle of the R1 tail.
