The denco stage one is 29.5mm, so you should be ok, it "might" be a little doggie on the bottom.

Oooops, Hello Mr. Learning Curve again! Before long, I'll be familiar enough with him to call him Learn for short. I measured the height of the port itself, not the distance down from the top of the cylinder to the top of the port. Am I understanding that correctly? I should be able to snick into the garage long enough to measure that and let you know. Thanks again for educating me!

I measured from the top of the cylinder to the top of the exhaust port and got 26mm :-o It looks like I am in the market for a set of mostly stock cylinders, since I want this as a streetable bike - what is a reasonable price? Thanks in advance for any input.

Do I need to measure the piston too, if I am at it, in case they have been hacked on too?

Thanks, Phil

A big thank you to Richard on hooking me up on the stock cylinders.

Mark came over yesterday and we think that the piston skirt had been cut, but in a lathe, all the way around instead of the typical grind only the port area. The skirt has sharp corners at the transfer ports and there is a rabbet or relief turned into the inside of the skirt.

So, we measured from the bottom ring to the bottom of the skirt and got 49mm. Now I just have to see how that compare to a stock piston.

The stock piston measures 58mm from the edge of the dome to the bottom of the skirt. ;)

Phil, I measured a stock piston at 49mm from bottom of skirt to bottom of bottom ring so it appears that your pistons have not been modified. ;) Also that "step" is there on all the stock 400 pistons I have.
