Just ordered a set of Progressive Suspension fork springs for the Phoenix. The front springs are pretty well sacked and the front end dive is noticeable. I looked it over yesterday after I took it out for a thrash through the valley and saw the chain and sprockets will have to be replaced before DG 2013. Sprocket Specialists will get the nod again for the custom rear sprcoket required for the EX 500 rear wheel running a 530 x-ring chain, probably RK and not gold this time :D :D :D The rear tire may be good and I'm not sure if I can get another season out of the front. Time will tell...

The way you ride. I doubt it. Better to be safe.

I just put a set of Progressive springs in my W650. The springs weren't worn out just way too soft.Made a world of difference with the nose dive issue.

Regarding fork springs:
At one point I had 4 sets and they all measure the exact same length on the bench
Didn't think they sagged much although that could be corrrected with a PVC pipe "shim"
The idea of pregressive wound is interesting though
