Conversely the larger bell mouth might give a better lead in for the air to the venturi and allow more total flow at WFO. (kinda like a built in velocity stack) :?

valid point..

thankfully, my bike never sees WFO, as it is mostly ridden to church by my elderly grandmother.

In her daisy duke's, tube top, sandals and dew rag.......... :e9

just put some of those ont he rd. they work fantastic, better than the tm32's ever did (much to my surprise). they measured right at 35mm ID. heres a shot of them compared to stock vm28s off an rd:

air filter side:

intake boot side:

they did fit right into the intakes for a tm32.

they have the 'quick change' main jet holders. love these things.

and they clear nicely. the necks were small, so i used some old emgo rubbers as adapters for the air filters for the meantime:

surprisingly, they run a 3.0 slide. the tube is a P6 and its a 6d7 something needle. 2.5mm air jet orifice. running a 35 pilot @ 1.25 out and a 330 main jet. (yeah, 330, no joke). work fantastic.

I also have the pj34's on the H1, with the reed conversion they are really good, albeit fairly hard to synchronize

Did you ever figure out what needles you are using?
Just curious if we ended up in the same area....

Wow, we are miles apart!!!
I'm running a much leaner needle and bigger main.
Goes to show you that every engine combo needs something different

Pilot size: 38
Needle: AJP
Clip:2nd groove (lean)
Main: 160
Slide: 6.0

The bowls may be too deep for case clearance on your H1 :?

I know the pipe effects the main quite a bit but I'm surprised that we are using such a different taper... I couldn't get rid of a fat mid throttle off the pipe without going to the leanest taper, I tried the biggest dia. And longest length in the C and B tapers to no avail...
I'm using the same slide and also using the pump.

Edit... I just had a thought that maybe my needle jets might be worn more...
