And a pretty cool handmade boardtracker replica. I believe it is Yamaha XS650 at the core. Younger guy built it. Very nice attention to detail.

That only looks like a single, the xs's were twins. Either way, a pretty cool bike.

Actually That's a modded DR650 engine. The guy had a build thread over on ADV rider.

thanks Mike..

yeah, it does sound good. The pipes have the exact same "Tone" as an original set of Dencos, but at about 3/4 the Volume, which is nice on the loooong rides.

The freaking intake "howl" is louder than the exhaust on this thing..... I love it.

That's the first thing I noticed when I rode my H2 with Denco repros and internal stingers. I could suddenly hear the intake noise clearly and loudly. I would have put the noise at about 50% of "normal" Dencos, but I realize that's subjective, and also dependent on porting.

Can you please post photo's showing how the pipes look from behind? According to Jim's website:
Quote:
The drawback is that the silencers must be aligned with the rear cones, so they are not oriented in the classic Denco style, but rather diverge a bit
I want to see how they look (I like the idea of quieter pipes).
