Oh I would like to do the slots. Hopefully when I get the bugs worked out and this thing tuned, I'll rip it apart and get those in. I have thursday afternoon off along with Friday this week so some serious tuning to get this right will be in order.

I'm afraid it's true. This photo shows my previous exhaust port and the template showing what was about to happen to it.

Leaner is cleaning it up. Just ran the 230 with needles in the middle and it seems better, power is still quite abrupt after 6, even at part throttle, smoother coast for sure, blurbling a little a shade off idle twisting the grip, nothing like it was. It has to be running rich, just went through replacing two plugs a bit ago. The stock engine will eat plugs running rich. I'll get any other numbers off the slide and such when I walk out. I'm going to move the needles down to the leanest position with this 230 and see what happens.

Motor noise is gone. Bore looked to be breaking in nicely. I doubt the piston will lean over much further before settling in. Need to get a compression level tomorrow before tinkering with it again.

I don't know what this bike is pushing but what I'd have to get on the 26s to do the burnouts I usually do was no comparison on the 30s. 1/4 throttle on the 30s and 1/2 or better on the 26s. I'd love to dyno this thing and see what I'm getting out of it. I know it's gotta be upwards of 50 compared to stock. What it did last year compared to this year with regards to power is a definite mprovement. Tell ya the truth, a 14 on the front would make an exciting ride with this block. It's turning a 15 like it's gravy.

Needle is a 6f5 and the cutaway is 2.5.
