The world would be a boring place if we all had the same taste...

I'm sure there are plenty of guys that look at the money I've dropped into my bike and wonder why it has rust on the tank and spooge everywhere else and not very well "finished"... it's the way I like it though and nobody will convince me I'm wrong! :)

The negative comments are my favorites! Especially the REALLY well thought out ones.
He is correct in that it is a bunch of "thrown together crap" I've had laying around a bit too long! Not to mention the Penguin Shaker, snowmobile chunks, KZ chunks, Honda chunks, Yamaha chunks, Buell chunks....etc.

This thing is the essense of Rat Bike... albiet a shiny, clean (for now) Rat bike.

"thrown together crap"

I like nothing better than using everyday objects for motorcycle purposes. I converted my 1976 Morini 3 1/2 Sport to VM28 Mikuni's. I had to install K&N pod filters. People who have used pods on Morini's complained of the ram-air effect on the rear cylinder. I decided I needed some sort of "shroud" to block the air. I walked around K-Mart with a K&N, sticking it in various items. I finally found the perfect "shroud" - a stainless steel thermos cup! I cut out the interior, cut that in half, then glued it to the pod. I reckon it looks shmick! And it works, I've had the bike up to 150kmh with no issues at all.

Specials are like that, the whole is worth more than the sum of the parts.

Moriniman... love the coffee cup shroud. Just as good as a factory part.

and Mark, if this (part number&$*(part number@(^&$part number(&part number(&@ WEATHER doesn't break up here in the next few days, the Hybrid will probably stay here. I really don't feel like breaking a bike in/tuning in the mountains when I would much rather be riding and chilling out....

Congrats for the build, Scrambler73

Your bike is incredibly nice in details, style and quality of build!!! Saved all the pics to my Special built triples folder.

When we'll have a video of it running?

Rgds. Carlos
