Hi guys,

Sorry it's been a bit. Where's the best place to get deals on piston and ring kits for my 1972 h1b 500 (.020 over)? Also, any good machine shops in Colorado (south west, 4 corners area)? That anyone might know of?

Any advice would be awesome! 8-)

Thanks!

Forged or cast pistons?

I've always had good results with forged pistons on my RD in years past. So probably forged as I tend to ride pretty hard on the throttle.

Thanks!

You will find a better price on Wisecos sometimes, but in my opinion the Wossners are of a much higher quality, but can be more expensive. I only use Wossners in my motors and get them from Jim at fastfromthepast.com

Jim only sells Wossners. You can Google Jessbikes, I think he has the Wisecos, or even E bay.

Cool, thanks for the info, I will take a look at both. Cleaned up my heads a few weeks ago, had some surgery on one of my wrists so I have some down time from work. Polishing the heads (slowly) with one hand to occupy my recovery time. 8-)
Will post some pics.......

If you have to paint, automotive paint they can put in a spray can. The regular can stuff will wash off with a gas spill
