Now Now... be nice to the "land barge" :D
That is a nice looking GS1100 you have Tom.. I love mine (GS1150).
I am a fan of the big Suzy's but they are no corner carvers.

Neat H2! Good luck on the sale.

Wasn't the shaft-drive GS1100 the heaviest bike in the entire history of motorcycling.............(until the "cruiser" phenomenon took over, that is!!)

Thanks! Bought it about 12 years ago pretty much the same way it is today. I added the oil cooler, did the 530 GSXR chain conversion, and replaced the meter pod due to a scuff from the PO putting it down at some point. It's tired and needs to be freshened up...all the gaskets seep...but it has never left me on the side of the road and the bottom ends are built like a tank...

Don't know if thats true but they are big, long, and heavy…listed weight for the 1150 is 560lbs.
But they ruled the strip for years. They were a bit sneaky in there power because there is no power band, the stock GS1100 and 1150 torque curve is flat as a pancake. An easy bike to drag race way back when, not that I ever raced, but everyone else sure did.
Ive had mine 27 yrs, left me stranded a few times, all electrical! Pushed it a mile once…
That will make you want a lighter bike
My GS has been rebuilt a few times in different configurations over the yrs.
Opposite end of the spectrum from an H2.

i thought you had given it up after the JB weld problems. glad to see you had another go and got it sorted they are a lot of work but worth it.
All you need now is new liners that omit the inlet hole in to give more piston support.

Hey Henry!

I still have it but will try to sell the cases/cylinders/pistons along with the roller once I get the cases cleaned up and blasted... Too many projects....

thats a shame, you should let a certain member buy it so he knows what a decent reeded bike runs like. :)
