Ok, still confused. Most of my riding is going to be cruising to bike shows and straight line blasts. John, do you sell fiberglass parts? I thought you did at one time. Have your reeds in the motor btw. I guess I could try just the fender and if it is spooky, do something different.

The only fiberglass fenders I have are for 18" tires. And cool on the reeds, they make for a fun motor.....

I now copy the old K&L Supply "Brooklyn Bridge" fork braces, somewhat like the one in the picture here, because K&L doesn't carry, nor make them any longer, along with a fiberglass TZ250 front fender.

If you go with one like in the picture, make sure it is adjustable side to side. If not, if the brace is even a small bit off on the width, it can do more harm in free operation, than help. There is almost a science in installing one of these braces so they don't bind the forks up.

Absolutely the right way to go, just have to set it all up the right way.

So do your braces interact nice with the TZ fender? Like set up, you mean spin the front wheel with the axle loose and crank on the front brake a couple times? Then set the axle? I have a 18" front wheel. How much is this set up and a pix would be nice. Thanks everyone for the input.

I like the idea of the metal bracket to help with stability. TurboChris do you think a stock style bracket will fit under the fiberglass or have you not had any issues running this fender as is? I like your bike too! I have a stock fender as well but not for trade sorry. It is for another bike.

Sorry for the late response.........no I don't have the stock bracket in there at all. Just the fender. No issues. Trade? Not sure what you mean. I have a spare new Maier fender. Let me know if you're interested.

Chris

TurboChris thanks for the reply. The trade comment I think was for another and I am probably going to go a different look on the fender to match what is on the bike but thanks for the info about no bracket. I'm going to try that first without the brace and see.
