I'm buying suspension parts for my 72 and looking for a good set of shocks. What's a good shock for under $500? I've looked at Progressive 412's,
Red Wing and Race Tech. Will be running a aluminum swing arm if I can find the ones that Ken made. Going to use emulators and progressive springs
with 18" front wheel. Already have the tapered steering bearings.

+1 I just put a set on my '72 ...very big improvement ) was running the OEM-look repops. They were around $200 delivered.

I agree on the Hagons....

when you order them however, I highly recommend a Lighter Weight spring than Dave recommends. His formula must be set up for riding 2-up all the time.

Yes, he will swap springs (as long as you don't scratch them), but start soft and you might be happy right off the bat and can save on shipping back/forth

Agree too: have Hagon on my H2B and 69 H1, Ohlins on my H2A.
The Ohlins are better but the Hagon are very good too and cheap 8-)

What would be a good length 14 or 14.5" The Nitro shocks sound really good and just over the top of my budget.
