Thanks, Ed. I make a 2-channel points triggered CDI unit now. Do you think there'd be a demand for a 3-channel unit for the GT?

Might be because all of the Suzuki triples have points. Have you been on the Suzuki triples board? I'm sure you would get some interest.

There have previously only been a couple of electronic options for GT750s. Boyer Branson which is actually a KH250 system that requires some serious modification, and Newtronics, which was unavailable for a while. There was one other really old-school system but I can't remember who made it. The Newtronics is a great unit and easy to install. Something like that would probably be well-received. I would probably buy one.

I started working on using a Yamaha 750/850 ignition, and with a rotor, it would work, but I never finished the experiment.

I will Ed, but I should have everything I need. It seems that my home-made ignition is not at fault. I removed it and put the condensers back on, and the problem still exists. I bought a new fuse holder and a bunch of fuses, so I can troubleshoot it.

OK, I found the problem. It's NOT my home-made ignition. When I replaced the fork tubes last week, my steel brake line decided to rest against my horn's hot wire. It was an intermittent, partial short. I have well insulated it now and re-routed the hose a bit. I will put my ignition back on tomorrow.

So, again I can endorse that ignition system posted earlier.
