Top of that piston looks sanded. I reckon they didn't like the roughness of the final cast messing up the turbulence.

Stock pistons don't have any mark. Only the oversized have the stamp. :thumbup:

YEA!!!! The cylinders came and this morning I got a chance to get to the garage. All I can say is WOW, what a difference between the stock and ported. It is hard to get photos that really show it - not only the size/distance from the cylinder, but the angle. I guess a fixture or something to hold everything the same between the two would be needed. Anyway, here are pics just taken by hand with all the variations:
