seriously... :shock: Do some math, take some accurate measurements and report back.

that front end makes a Buell look like a chopper.

From setting up road racing suspensions for my own and other riders for over 45 years, it will steer extremely dangerously at just about any speed. It is obvious that NO geometry was used in this "modification", and, not a lot of welding skills. Those chassis steered pretty well as they were, they sure didn't need this sort of butchery.

Key word here is 'DANGEROUS".

The question is if you had an accident and you wiped someone out

Your insurance company would just laugh

And you'll probably loose everything

My mate had a FZR 1000 EXUP, at exactly 100 MPH it would start wondering to the left
After many months he found the problem, one of the fork legs was bent..
.by 1 mm or .O039 of an inch

Well, vehicle insurance in the US does normally include medical coverage for the rider and passenger. If it's the minimum required, it may not cover the whole amount though.

I know that in the UK your insurance company looks at every possible scenario before paying out, the Mods might void his insurance?

Oohya, you've pulled the front wheel spindle 3" closer to the back. That's 3" less trail.
Bike probably only had about 3 to 4" to start with, meaning now there's practically zero trail.
Trail is what pulls your front wheel straight out of corners, over bumps and road surface undulations etc.

I'd be scared to death to ride that...

I don't think that's quite what happened, but in any case, he needs to make measurements and at least use an online rake/trail calculator to see where he stands.

I thought from the thread title this had some potential but from stick welding the tank (probably gonna leak like a sieve) to the reckless frame "mods" done without a ruler or angle finder... I gotta say that thing is scary to me

Checked the rake and it is at 21 degrees. Rode it down the hill and it seems to be stable (at 5 mph) :mrgreen:
