Walms: The matt finish is cool I think, and the contrast to the clear section on top of thank with gold stripes around the clear part is a detail. (I will finf a picture of it)
Thing is, in sunlight only, you can clearly see the metallic effect in the matt paint, almost bronze colored (the metallic particles in the paint if you see what I mean)
Regarding Jims tape,

it is there mainly for 1 reason: The looks. BUT: In theory you get a hp or two extra when running due to the wrapping keeps the exhaust header warmer. The speed of sound goes faster whitin a warmer exhaust header, that means you do not loose revvs when running due to wind cooling the exhaust. So: More heat, more revvs, more power, more detonation
