Shifter side took some "editing" of the covers.
I could have avoided it but the shift pattern would have been reversed.

If the arm of the shift lever (rearset end) can be rotated 180 deg you could go back to an unmolested sprocket cover, flipping either end would reverse the pattern but flipping both keeps it normal. ;)

BTW, looks NICE Steve!

By the way I rode it yesterday and at first I thought it was a total and complete pile of slow turning lard (even by kawi standards) But after putting air in the tires :banghead and dialing the damper back to the minimum :banghead it's really little difference from a stocker. It IS obviously heavier though. It's strange to have such excellent rear brakes on a triple. I can lock them up almost too easily if I want to. I'll need to have a thicker shifter rod made up though. The 6mm threaded rod is bowing already.

jack that ass end up and push the fork tubes through a hair.

regarding the tube, get some solid aluminum 3/8" rod, drill and tap it. light and sturdy.

apparently a kz650 rear swingarm fits easily onto an H2 frame easily. I bought a bike that had this mod done already. Neat thing is it has a needle bearing in it. Is that standard on a 650? The rear disc is definitely nice but watch out if recently riding another vintage bike with a rear drum recently - much easier to lock it up!

really nice outcome!
happy to see the 650 mod/swap worked out well for you!
wonder if you could reproduce the rear set setup -it's very sweet update to how i did mine 30 yrs ago on the one i sent pic of. pretty sure i will not locate all the pcs to my fitup,as was scavenged for another project long ago.
look into a ninja 250 pegset for folders if desire?
sweet and clean,Great job!
