After years of dry as a bone, the Phoenix has another seep. :e4 :e4 :e4
Countershaft seal, just a dribble. I discovered when I topped it off after the 6mm case screw seep that I fixed by tightening the nut, I had overfilled it between 4 and 6 ounces. I mity vaced the excess out and it is right at full. Could I possibly be that lucky??? There was a little mist at the vent tube as well even though it is turned up with a long hose against the frame.
I guess only a thrashing and letting it set overnite will tell... I HATE LEAKS,
The S2A has always seeped here and there, but nothing 30 seconds with a rag won't fix. The Phoenix on the other hand has never leaked... till now. opinions, magic cures???

Maybe you could try replacing the seal.
Or maybe you could try draining all the oil.
Or if you dont want too run it without oil, maybe poor some radiater stop leak in there, or a couple of bannana skins. :e11

There is an O ring that fits on the output shaft. The manuals show it in the wrong position.

See the note below the drawing.
Maybe this is an issue if you followed the manual.

LOL Tim. My harley does not leak but my H2 does :o All my bikes do - here at altitude I've noticed a trend in the summer with pressure, heat and such - I can fill to the marks (or exact amount with a ratio cup with a drained engine) and oil still comes out the overflow tubes depending on the heat and pressure. The H2 and DT mostly though - and the oil makes a difference too. The new gear saver really flows from the triple more than whatever the brand-x I had in it before. No way around it. Oil check before each ride and I'm good to go.

Think about this, never leaked a drop at the GAP but they ALL expand out the overflow tube at home...
