I've read a bunch of thread but can't find the answer to: Are the banjo bolts/fittings the same across the different bikes? I know the pumps have different outputs but are interchangeable. Are the banjos interchangeable? Next question: If the pumps are interchangeable, but with lesser outputs, with modern oil, what is the smallest pump you would consider has a safe enough output for an H2? 500? 400? 350? 250? |

400 for H2, 250 for H2 seems too close from the limits according to Scouse, member of this forum and UK -great- guy who tried both 250 and 400 on his H2. Am genuine oil pump but not with original set up, have a modified set up. Do around 1.1 or 1.2 liter per 1.000 kilometers with my H2s with full synthetic or half synthetic 2 stroke oil. With original set up and same oil, was around 2.1 liters per 1.000 kilometers BTW most of the banjo bolts are the same on all triples but not all, look on the part-manuals http://kawtriple.com/mraxl/ |

For H2's, early banjos screw apart, easy to re-work, later ones are a plastic-welded fitting, which I haven't taken apart. (crank-case banjo's, to avoid confusion!) |

Are they the same size as other model bikes? Will 400 banjo bolts/fittings work on an H2? Both the pump side and the CC side. |

Early '69 bolts/check valves differ from all others. '74 on check valves have different fitting to line than earlier models. Lines are interchangeable for same models. http://3cyl.com/mraxl/partid/oillines/oillines.htm |

Nether question: Anyone know the I.D. of the lines? |

kawah2swede wrote: Maybe you find this interesting http://kawasakitriples.myfastforum.org/ ... 0-asc-.php Very. So it's the drive gears that are different from model to model and the pumps are the same? Are the drive gears interchangeable? One more: What is considered the better system, the earning or late H2 oil system. Obviously the factory thought enough to change it. What are the end users opinions? |

The late system sucks IMHO. You have to open the oil system everytime you pull a carb, which I found to be a large PITA. especially when trying to tune/jet... |
