Will the later h1 or h2 forks and tree's work on a 69 h1 without modding the frame? I want to get mine rideable and it seems I can find a whole front end cheaper than I can buy the inner 34mm tubes to repair mine. I'll restore the originals and put them back on later |

Yes. However for best results the h1B's triple clamps (accepts the 36mm later tubes) should be used due to its greater 58mm offset... J |

Get the H1B triple clamps and any of the later H1 forks (or all H2) are compatible (thinking of availability of used rust free 36mm tubes here rather than confining your search to only the H1B) J |

Thanks for the help guys. I'll start sourcing parts and see which is going to be more friendly on my wallet for the time being |
