Hi Guys I just recieved my new release mechonisim it is so well made and as I broke my wrist lately I havn't been able to pull clutch on H2 , GSXR1100 was ok , fitted his unit now I can ride my H2 , thanks RALf , top quality and a good price , Dont look at them just buy it they are that GOOOD ,I forgot to say that the original plastic 4 spline was staring to crack up so it wouldnt be long before it was needed anyway and all of your bikes are the same age Al in Aus

didnt realise old one was cracking till I changed it

4 spline releases were dangerous even when they were brand new, today, they would be totally suicidal.

Ok, I have a question, just installed one of Ralf's units last night on a H2 for a customer. I could not get the unit in (yes the sprocket was removed) for the life of me without taking the cable holder assembly off. Had the arm as far down as it would go, but was a no go. And then it was a total pain to get the small screw re installed, as it is half hidden by a bump in the cases.

Anyone else have this problem?

I've never used one of Ralf's releases, but, when I install one, I remove the jamp nut and adjuster from the release, and spin the lever/inner fully into the outer, then, place the unit into the hole in the case, and spin the outer into position, install the two mounting screws, adjuster, nut, and go.

I haven't fund any of the other types that had install issues when I did it that way with any of them in the past, no reason to think it would be different with one of Ralf's releases.

Mine went in like a finger up a bum, no problem....... did you take the sprocket cover off?? (kidding ! - seems plenty of room, arm down at usual 8 o'clock position, place unit with mounting holes at 10 to 4 and screw-motion into position. clearance seems fine!?)

Further thoughts - take the adjuster out, if you haven't already, and put the unit in with the cable holder below the arm - at the TOP of arm movement there Is enough room to swing the cable-holder to its correct position, then fit the adjuster and, err, adjust!

I had a hell of a time getting it to fit on mine, I didn't ask here because I just figured I was a bumbling idot! And seeing Id never done one before I figured it was just the way it was.
I kept putting in the stock one then taking it out and trying Ralphs, finally got it but I don't think I could duplicate or remember how I got it in but it took a bit.

But I was amazed at the action compared to stock (though I haven't run it yet so I guess i should wait to comment)

I don't know, but there was NO room on the one I did. I farted around for a time, then gave up and took the holder off.

Admittedly, I have clean, fresh cases with eye-level access, at the moment, but yeah, no problem!
