Unless you have the wrong rings I don't know why.
are you sure all the holes in the bearings are lined up?

With the parts out of the case try to fit the retainers on the bearings and then in the case independent of each other. Also be sure the locating pins are lined up with the holes in the bearing collar for the transmission shafts. If you are not careful these can easily be pushed into the case.

thats what I'm gonna do now is try to see why the clips don't wanna sit down all the way. all of the tranny collars are lined up with the holes and the kicker collar as is lined up and sitting in nicely as well. ill post a few pics tonight or in the morn. luckily i didn't pull the motor out of my bike yet so instead of playing hammer mechanic i went fort a ride on this cool night. ahhhhhhh

Thank You so much for the video's on building, I watched them several times, made a bunch of notes and rounded everything up........mad e rebuilding the engine myself not that difficult..........would have been lost without them :!:

Strange.....I was missing the same exact small stud in the front that you were :shock: ........It's in there now, whats the chance of that ?

Oh......and I meant KickStarter 1........and KickStarter 2........(not shifter 1 & 2) :oops:
