Was goosing over my crankcases and noticed the tranfer port to bearing oilway (RH cyl) hole was further outboard than expected where it exits into the main journal. So i got the old seal and i can see the indentation in the seal from the hole. The seal covers about 2/3rd of the hole leaving a segment uncovered only about 1mm wide. So i did a quick assemly with the crank and the seal was in the correct place.
As long as there is a small way through its probably fine, but its a bit close for my liking so i burred the hole a bit away from the seal towards the bearing. Sorted easy.
Just thought id bring it up here, something for you too consider.
And what if an aftermarket seal was used that was 1mm different, it could cover the hole completely.
The rest of the oil holes are purfectly possitioned.(late h1)

Whoawa...that was a close up
I put this seal and bearing in 20 years ago (same seal, Different bearing  ) Why, Because i had a failed R/H bearing cage! Funny that.
Im sure all these cases are exactly the same, although they may vary a little, depending on how many jigs they went through and how they sat in the jigs and so forth. I just hope your cases vary in the right direction
Comeon you gurus....You must have something too say?
