Dale, what's funny (or maybe not) is that I rebuilt mine about a year ago, and had to take another one apart to be sure where the "piston stopper" went. When I pulled it apart, the stopper was just floating on the piston rod, so I started to write that it just floats. It didn't sound right, so I went back and stuck the piston back in, and only then saw what was really going on. Am I allowed to have a senior moment at my age?

It's not like I haven't rebuilt many of them... seems my senior moments are becoming routine :)

Dont just rebuild them.... Have them S/S sleeved. Not that expensive, the sleeving will come off the shelf.
The bore will last forever then.
