I'll give them a call too, I've been looking for a set for my '75 H1. Can anyone tell me the approximate lead times for a set of pipes? Thanks for the link.

Curt, you probably know, but most guys apply the Mop and Glo by wiping several coats on with a rag, letting it dry between coats. Yes, the head pipes get coated too. I'll be interested to see photos when you are able to post them.

Aarron, if you get on the waiting list now, I'll probably get to you in early spring.

I'm curious. If I had pipes finished with Mop N Glo and decided I wanted to paint or chrome them, how tough is that stuff to remove?

Normally it comes off with household ammonia, but I don't know if the heat of the exhaust changes that. You could run a test on a small piece of steel. According to one of Mop & Glo's distributors:

"Use a solution of 1/4 cup all purpose cleaner (such as LYSOL® All Purpose Cleaner without Bleach) and 1 cup household ammonia in ½ gallon of warm water. Wet the area with the solution and mop."

Mop & Glo is manufactured by Reckitt Benckiser, which is known as "RB". Their web site is rb.com.

Definitely post photos when you can, please. Half the fun of making them is seeing them installed. :D
