Just ordered an aftermarket cdi from Jim at stockbox/lakeserv, in an attempt to get better sparks. My H1e devilbike has resisted all attempts to get it running properly for a year. Have replaced or adjusted nearly every other part. Has anybody else tried this unit. sounds like he knows what he`s doing and should slip straight on. What do you guys say?

a froggy uses a 72 73 H2 CDI 3 big boxes and one small from Lakeserv on his H1B modified with H2 wiring loom and alternator: works perfect and I just order a set + a regulator for my 71 H2  .

Was the CDI the issue? If it was Jim's CDI will fix it. I was very happy with mine...

Be sure the brushes/slip ring are in good condition (and lengths of brushes are in spec.) on the end of the alternator rotor.

The dedicated CDI charge coil within the alternator assembly could be breaking down and giving trouble too.
