Ok, so I'll admit... I would gladly trade my pingel for a triple with dialed-in fuel injection and a fuel pump.

So maybe Jaybuilt's belly tank has an advantage.

I guess..

Gravity is sorta like water. Without water, there would be no life, but at the same time..Water is argueably THE most destructive force on the planet.

Gravity always "works", so there is really no need for mechanical helpers to get fuel to the carby's. At the same time, Gravity overpowers needle/seats, checkvalves, sometimes entire motorcycles....

hmmmm

I'm with Cody. It's nice to know that off means off. I have no trouble remembering to turn it off or on and that's saying something because I have left the house without pants on :D . I have 2 S series bikes and I always turn off the tap. My H2 has a Pingel and I felt pretty stupid, but the only position I found where it was perfectly snug and not leaking was with the lever on the inside ( under the tank). I don't care, it works!

I don't have a Pingle, but I do have a standard on-off-res petcock on my tank. I don't find it a hassle in the least. I never forget to shut it off, although I do sometimes forget to turn it on

One way to "adjust" the Pingel is to wrap teflon tape around the threads on the tank. After a few attempts with different numbers of windings you will strike a number that positions the tap well (e.g. 7 worked on my H1A)
