Was messing around with my KZ900 battery, it was almost dead/wont hold a charge. My KH500 battery was very low so I drained 3 cells in the KZ battery and filled my KH battery. I then filled the KZ battery with distilled water and put it back in the bike, started it and ran it most last Saturday. I go in the garage Mon. and started the bike with no problems.
I ended up buying a gel cell anyway for the KZ.
Was wondering how the KZ battery was able to hold a charge with water and no acid?
Has anyone heard of using a welder to shock a battery back to life?, Saw a thread were they tried it but havent been able to find it again......Beets

Only the water evaporates, not the acid. Only distilled water needs to be replaced, you did exactly what it needed...
