Switching to Allen heads even just for looks is an interesting thought.....

well, fourth try ALMOST got there.....the slightest of leak(s) with this morning's check. Assumming for now it's mainly/all the boots. I guess tonight I will pump up (runs down from 6lbs very slowly) and see if the rest of the motor is not leaking and get this thing in it's frame while I have some extra hands around this evening.......need to free up the lift for some work to my main ride.....i'll put the new boots on later next week in the frame and recheck and vacuum down. Will give me time to soda blast the carbs....

This is a very good example of why a leakdown test is important. :thumbup:
Without the test this problem would not have been uncovered and could have led to time consuming jetting problems or worse.

I'm impressing this on a friend who is doing a H2 motor as well......in his 'old days" he never did these steps..........
