Probably the best way. You might try to tap it out, but why remove it?

Restoration....
My bike done 56,000mile so Ebay tranny. Local new crank. And new everything. The hub may have been replaced at some stage (looking at the badly smashed, welded clutch cover that came with the bike) And the hub fingers look/ measure up good. I had a tentative tap with socket and hammer the other day, but didnt like the sound and dont want too damage the cage, which would damage the journal on its way out.
Hopefully this will be the last time, so no expenses spared really.
Basicly i will feel bad if i dont replace ALL the bearings
Does the bearing go out either way?
