I took the H2 out this weekend and the speedo started acting up. At first it worked ok, then the needle started resting at 80mph stopped. After a while the needle headed back toward zero and is at about 35 at rest. Can this be a easy fix or should I just change the speedo? |

There is no easy answer... it will need to be disassembled to find out. If it has been recently disassembled, it might be as simple as a loose needle on the shaft. I would suspect a broken spring.... but opening it up is the only way to find out. |

I've seen dead critters, like spiders do that when a speedo or tach was stored with a light socket port uncovered. I have, in the past, used VERY LOW PRESSURE compressed air, no more than 5 psi, to blow into the unit, before I tear it apart. Sometimes, it clears the critter remains out, sometimes, it is as stated above, a physical problem. |
