Rebuilt the petcock but I still have some dripping issues. I think it is the o-ring on the plunger that unfortunatley does not come with the rebuild kit. Does anyone know offhand the size of this o-ring?

For the reference of others, the size is a "007" (like James Bond). ;)

Thanks LC. All I have on my little zip-loc bag is the McMaster-Carr partnumber.

I'm not saying anything - I've derailed enough threads this year :silent:

I just pulled my tank off to trouble shoot an electrical issue w/ the brake light wiring yesterday and gas was pouring out the petcock when i leaned the tank forward or backward....I rebuilt it prior to painting the tank and did replace the o-ring... :e4
It shouldn't...right? Any ideas?

Thx

Did you leave "prime" selected (it bypasses the auto shutoff)? Otherwise, the seat where the small O ring sits could be corroded, or the 4 hole gasket is torn/not sealing....

jezz....just pulled it apart, the New "4 hole" rubber piece is already trash. Crazy it happened so fast. I re-read an old post on the other board, says to mirror polish the lever, so got that going now and ordered a new piece.
Damn. :banghead
