 Post subject: Bridgeport barrells?

When did the bridged inlet port barrels on the 500 H1 get replaced with the open port? Were they bridged because inlets were wider :?:

Rumor has it that all 69's had bridgeport cylinders and some early 70's.

They were reportedly discontinued because Kawasaki could get the port width or performance they wanted without the complication of an additional failure point.
