what is correct thread size for sidecover knob. I did a post about this before as bike has stripped thead but most replies were using different size bolt. I want to use origianl knob.
Will this sove my problem?

Drilled and re-tapped here Greg, sorry. Good question though, H2 parts just says knob, no size. But if you have the original knob, why not find a nut - that will give you the size or if you have a die it will too.

This is true. Where I grew up the hills were so steep and long, when your ball rolled down the hill you just said "screw it"...

Standard 6mm, just like a lot of the other bolts on the bike - early H2 here!

I was hoping someone new the correct thread pitch. I will take the knob to the hardware store for comparrision.

Exactly. Coarse 6 mm thread. No fine thread, just normal M6.

Yes...But I'd spend a bit extra and get a quality kit. A real "Helicoil" set or "Recoil" set. Chinese taps make me nervous, a quality brand set will last a lifetime if looked after.
