Scott, you and I disagree very little where Triples are concerned. Your opinion is to be respected and appreciated! :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
My H1B had me on the side of the road more than once, the charging system wasn't good enough to fire the ignition (admitted weak battery) but that would never happen with a late H1 and if an S has enough juice to start the charging system will produce enough to maintain ignition and keep you off the side of the road with a weak battery.... early H1 charging systems suck when compared to a magneto system.

Yes your correct mine is a points ignition H1A. I'm going to consider swapping mine over with a 250 oil pump, seems like a reasonable idea anyway unless you boys think different. :?:
