Actually, It would be interesting to hear what type of con-link people are using these days. I have always used the press-fit, soft pin type. Course, back in the day, the H2 came with an endless chain. It was the bike with so much power, you wouldn't dare use a conventional con.link!

The old memory is a bit hazy now but we would use anything from 13 to 17 on the front and not have to split the chain - different if you are racing, etc.

DiD NZ . I put the Orginal plate on but I snap the orginal clip. I then bought a spare chain link and the just used the clip from it. Its plate just sat on the link without the need for pressure, so I used the original link and plate, as it was just a bit longer on the pins but had to use the chain breaker to squeeze the orginal plate on.

Oh yeah i did mine at 12 oclock. I hope that is also correct 8-), however maybe that should of been 6 oclock, being upside down and all.

I have nightmares about chain breakage and wrapping around the rear and locking up. I've had chain break happen twice on a dirt bike (flew off 1st time, locked rear tire the second time). And once on the freeway at cruising speed - fricking heart stopping scary but I rode that one out to a stop.

Worse than a wobble scary, gives me chills remembering it. I crashed the H2 on a wobble once at 90 - that hurt but I was only 18 and invincible then.
