Do you have the old cable for comparison? Is the issue not enough slack exposed cable? It's possible they sent you an S3 cable, perhaps.

i removed the new cable and compared to old one and on the carb side there is 3 1/2" of cable sticking out of the sleeve.
old has only 3 1/4" sticking out.
both with the cable pulled until bottomed out.
i dont want to return it unless i realy have to.
any sugestions ?
cheers mark

Check where the outer sleeves go into the splitter, they might be slipping in and out. I had one like that, had to saferty wire the outers in the splitter housing.

You could always heat the cable end, remove, cut the sleeve a bit then re-solder? Last resort...
I had to do something similar for my throttle cable because not using a stock throttle and once i removed the curved pipe, there was too much slack to adjust out.

So, the new cable is longer?
If you get into the splitter, you can crimp a sleeve on the end of the upper cable to make it shorter.

i am not realy understanding what is wrong here.
i expected the new cable to be shorter(have less sticking out of the sleeve) as i am out of adjustment on both ends of the cable .(carbs and grip)
but it is the oppersite.the slides are barely bottoming and the oil pump would also be unable to be set correctly.

check your main cable, if it is shorter, everything will be shorter......

Definitely let the people who sold it to you know exactly how much too short it is. I would think they would promptly ship you a correct one, or fix that one. As a guy who makes and sells low-volume triple parts, I can tell you that compliments from customers are fun to get, but negative feedback is much more important.
