Im officialy "throwing in the towel" when it comes to repairing my oiling system!! I have many GALLONS of Klotz Techniplate, so thats what Im going with. ANYONE running on pre-mix, what ratio, how many ounces do you presonaly use? Ive been running 6 ounces per gallon while Ive been working on my pump and it's REAL smokey. I do mostly slow speed city riding.

I mix 32:1 consistently on the 400, I put 14k on it and that top end still has mileage. The Yammi RT1B gets 26:1 because of the larger displacement. I imagine anywhere in there should be good.

50 TO 1 IS 2.6 OZ According to Klotz. Im thinking about 3 oz per gallon for now. At least Ill be able to ride untill (if) the issue gets resolved. Im capping it off in the morning!

Im sending the pumps (2) and lines to H2TUNER for his expertise. He may just become my next best friend if he can help! Has NO-ONE ever run premix succesfuly? Im sure back around 1980, my very first H2 was premix. It WAS a hassle, but I never had engine trouble. In fact, that bike was amazingly RELIABLE...That was untill I saw that reed valve kit in the J C Whitney catalog and started drilling them holes. (And sucking in those shattered reeds).

Sure there has, but we are too old to bother with it, when the pumps are so reliable.......

1 gallon = 128 ounces, so if you want a 40:1 mix, for example, divide 128 by 40 = 3.2 ounces per gallon.
Mixing 3 ounces per gallon, you'll get 128 / 3 = 42.66, or about 43:1

3 guys were traveling together, they got tired and decided to spend the night at a motel. There was only one room left, so they took it. It was 30.00 so they each gave the owner 10 dollars. A bit later the owner felt bad and decided to reduce the rate 5 dollars, so he gave his son 5 dollars to return the the guys. On the way the son decided the guys wouldn't know the difference, so he got to their room and told them they each get a dollar back.

So they each paid 9 dollars (27 dollars) and the son kept 2 dollars 27+2=29 dollars......... Where did the other dollar go?

What does this have to do with oil ratios? absolutely nothing. I just wanted this thread to go off on a tangent!.......

I think you need to subtract the two the son kept, not add.
