Looks like I have a weak, weak charging system. I'm only getting 7.5 volts at the battery while it's running (~1500 rpm). I'm guessing it's the regulator/rectifier. has anyone tried fitting a later model year two wire unit to one of these engines? I know the kaw 750 ltd two cylinder engines used one.... What are the alternating current voltage readings out of the charging wires at the stator reading?? Please read at both idle, and 2,500 RPM's, and post results for us to see. |
