Remember there is no stupid questions. I need to order a top end gasket set for my H1. Yes I know that the copper gaskets can be annealed. I prefer to replace them. My question concerns a oversized piston/bored cylinder. Do they require a larger head gasket diameter wise vs a stock bore cylinder. I've seen one parts supplier that listed the same head gasket no matter what the piston diameter.

Even when I used new copper gaskets I annealed them.

What overbore are you on? Even what I was a couple sizes over I didn't have a problem with the gasket encroaching on the combustion area.

Minimize bore underhang.
Have absolutely no overhang.

Head nut collar size to gasket hole size, errors are worth consideration also.(how well the center with nuts installed)

New gaskets need annealing from the effects of stamping/rolling cold working.

I don't think you'll have any trouble with the gasket getting into the combustion chamber, but you can double check it.
