I've been reading about the unusable parts in the carb kits, I think I could get by with bowl gaskets and float valves, any recommendations?

All I have ever used on my restorations is new bowl gaskets and new(Mikuni)float valves. The other pieces always clean up and are usable.

This is about the best deal I've found on the Mukini float valves.

The float valves from kits are OK, and so are the gaskets. Just don't use the jets.

The jets are wrong, but the real killer is the needles, NEVER use the needles from a kit! :e9

I just ordered these Viton tipped needle & seat sets (Mikuni) from Niche Cycle.

http://www.nichecycle.com/ncs/categorie ... ikuni.html

I verified the measurements in their photo with the one on the resource site.

Scroll down to "Float Valve".
Good deal I'd say!
