If it were mine, I'd rather have the stainless steel piston I gave the link to above.

So would I....and, do have the stainless ones, all it takes is a lathe, offset finish grinder, and raw materials to work with. Or, they are available, as Jim pointed out.

Thanks Guys, stainless it is, I'm sure it's well worth the few extra bucks. I see prices for the rebuild kit all over the place, any recommendations?

Evans has rebuilt zillions of them, so I'm sure he has a recommendation there.

For a mid level quality rebuild kit, I like the ones from All Balls Racing and Boss Bearings. These two are very affordable. But.. if you want the best, I do like the kits from Brakecrafters.

Thanks, Evans, I've looked on the All Balls and Boss Bearing website and haven't found a listing for a caliper rebuild kit, could you point me in the right direction? Thanks, Buddy.

I see it’s a stock brake caliper so you are limited as to rebuild kit choices. Some of the better kits for the stock caliper are out of the U.K. Good luck!

I don't know anything about this supplier, but he's selling a kit that includes a stainless steel piston for about $70 delivered.

That’s the one in the U.K. that I have purchased from before! Good deal overall especially with the stainless steel caliper piston. Ships fast too to the US.
