hello,

On a 1973 Kawasaki H1D how does the clutch cable route from the hand lever along hande bar and past the top triple clamp (ttc). At the ttc, does the cable go through the metal eye/circle provided on ttc? I think the choke cable goes through the tcc metal circle, but not sure if clutch cable does or if it goes in the space just after after eye closer to neck or elsewhere.

thanks

Under cable routing, might have what you're looking for.http://www.kawatriple.com/howto.htm

MY -D has nothing going thru ring.
If either clutch or choke cable went thru, the kinks imparted would just mess things up.

Low bars/not stock, but gentle and easy as possible cable routing in near straight line is goal.

Not much help.

Thanks

I did try the cable routing link before, but it did not cover that area for a h1d. I took a lot of pictures before and as I tore it down. I did find one of my pics showed that area after all :D . The clucth cable does not go through the ring and makes a wide loop in front of wiring harness coming from headlight bucket. The choke cable does go through the ring.

This bike was fairly untouched and complete me thinks when I got it. It still had orignal tires albeit back one was bald and less than 6000 miles showing. Cables look to be original as were all the wire tie downs. I suspect this is what I will do and keep my eye on it.

thanks
