The single post type boss versus the double shear clevis design. I'm not so much interested in perfect originality, rather, it's scraping the FBG chamber. If it's wrong, I want to get more clearance. I've seen both pictured. Here is what I have: Image

I don't know anything about kickstarter levers other than it's not like the one on my '72, but can the chamber be moved in to clear it? I cut open and changed the cone angles at the welds of my Wirges chambers back in '79 to make clearance. With all the reproduction Dencos I made I made sure there was clearance, whether or not the originals cleared.

Yes, I will if I have to. Right now I have bigger fish to fry with the center pipe. Under hard braking, the fender hits the header pipe.... hard enough to LOCK the steering.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. To start, it might be worth measuring the head pipe lengths to see if they're all the same, or if the middle one is longer.

A kick start lever off a Kawasaki KZ750 twin fits the splines perfectly and might be a possibility for clearance needed.

A KZ900 LTD front fender will provide clearance. Also consider increasing the fork spring rate or lowering the fork tubes in the triple clamps - but not too far.

If you take the pipes off, you can grind the "slip-on" part of the header down on the centre pipe. I had to do this with FPP pipes. You can take easily 1/4" off and it will clear the fender. I checked clearance before test riding mine and it was fine until I was cornering under hard braking!! Bike went straight across some guys lawn!

As for the kicker - my H2C had Cast pipes and the previous owner had bent the stock ticket to curve perfectly around the pipe.

That's what I had in mind, trim the pipe where it slips on the spigot.

That's good to know, thank you!
