Hello,

Edit: Nevermind, I did see the procedure in the manual

I performed a static ignition adjustment of my 73D H1. It has me referencing the "Tang" (little metal pointer) when setting the pickup postion line relative to rotor tab. My question is how do I know the Tang itself is set correcty? For example when setting left cylinder, is the Tang to be the advance point stated for this motor? Do I simple verify with dial gage the Tang is indeed at the stated advance degrees specified for my motor? I see it also can be adjusted.

Thanks

If memory serves I think the service manual tells you to verify the position of the tang by putting a dial indicator in the #1cylinder. The resource site has all the information.
