This is my first triple a 1972 S2 350 which has been lying idle for 20 plus years. I've got her going on all three but the right side cylinder seems to take a lot longer to warm up than the left and centre. Also it appears to be less smokey, it's definately running because the header does get hot but takes a lot longer?

Have you checked for carb synch, both idle speed screws and cable adjustment?

Is this just when idling, or when riding it too?

I haven't ridden it yet I'm just at the stage of getting the motor running. I've thoroughly cleaned the carbs and set the mixture and idles the same. Initially it would only run on two until I swapped out one crook coil for a new one. I'm wondering if its possible that the cooler cylinder isn't getting as much oil as the other two? I'm thinking if one was a leaner mix it could initially run cooler but don't really know?

It is not likely that oil feed is the issue....

My guess is that either the idle mixture is off a little on that cylinder, or the idle speed speed screw is. Have you turned the idle mixture screw back and forth slowly to find the highest idle speed on the tachometer?
