The carbs on my H1D were extremely difficult to remove off the aluminum intake manifolds but with some spray lube and a whole lot of physical twisting and force I managed to get them off. Now it appears the installation will be a reverse of the removal process. Is it normal for this process to be so difficult?

I'm going to try heating the carb collars with a hair dryer so see if I can expand them slightly. Any other suggestions or am I missing something?

Thanks

Well the hairdryer heat did the trick.
I sure do like the H2 carb design better then the H1 as it relates to the mounting and the configuration of the slides.

I don't think you're alone. :)
